Check out CEMMI.org.
They are doing some great things, and currently run a “A/V Jam” on Saturday nights. I would highly suggest coming out to it!
From their website “A local technology-meets-art start-up, CEMMI brings forth the innovative model of grouping the Boston creative community with those seeking to learn new forms of audio/visual communication in a classroom-based environment.
Currently stationed at the Artisan’s Asylum, CEMMI will be hosting educational seminars, lectures, workshops, and live performances through tiered membership programs and a wide curriculum of classes where members and students will be trained to create and perform within specific areas of digital audio/video/media technologies.”
..and if you go, let me know, so I can try to show up too!
I have been the Resident VJ at the weekly Drum and Bass club “Elements” for the last 4 Years. It is now recognized as the longest running Drum and Bass night in the United States!
Recently the Boston Globe did a piece on the night, and luckily I even got a picture to go along with it.
That night I was using TouchOSC for Android to VJ from the crowd on my phone, hence me smiling happily while dancing in the crowd and working on my video.
